"Father Knows Best" TEXT: Mark Ryman (©2004) based on Luke 11:1-13 . More hymns at edoxy.com. TUNE: "Stories of Jesus,” by Frederick A. Challinor (1903). Jesus went out to the hillside often to pray and he went into the garden closet to say, “Father, I love you and seek your voice. Help me to follow your godly choice.” How his disciples would listen to their Lord pray. One day one of the beloved asked him the way to reach the Father just like a son. So Jesus taught them, “Thy will be done.” This is the choice prayer of children. This is God’s will. Even when life is most troubled, they trust him still. God gives what we need; Father knows best. Trust in his goodness despite life’s test. You may freely use this hymn in whole or in part for study and/or worship as long as you use the following citation: "©2004 Mark Ryman.
