Hear Me Knocking
TEXT: Mark Ryman (2004) based on Luke 7:36-8:3.
TUNE: "
Hyfrydol,” by Rowland H. Prichard (1830).

Hear me knocking at your hearts door:
I have come to dine with you.
You must ask me to come in your
life and I will follow through.
I began this quest; you must respond.
Only then will I come inside.
See the holy feast just beyond.
Dine ‘til then; rest and abide.

Fear not, I have supped with all kinds.
Your nature is nothing new.
I will eat with each one who finds
grace in me so good and true.
Weep and wet my feet with your tears;
I have come to set you free.
You may feast with me without fears
and find grace beyond degree.
